I woke up to this scary picture on my friend’s Facebook. Australia is insaaaasne. I am nervous now because I will be living with her when I get back to Sydney.

It was Curtis’ mum’s birthday a few days ago and as we are lucky enough to have her cooking beautiful food for us every night at the moment we decided to return the favour which was only slightly selfish, it’s not like we had heaps of fun doing it and got to enjoy the delicious food too or anything.
I am just a tiny bit excited about the chilli. I usually fail in the kitchen but the fact that this recipe pretty much involved emptying cans of food into the crock pot filled me with confidence.
After all that cooking (opening cans) we were hungry so Curtis’ dad made us the most incredible sandwich I have ever had. The sauerkraut took it to a whole other level.
Curtis and I then went to the track and ran together for the first time!!! I also did some speed work, as you can tell by the photo I am pretty much a bolt of lightening 😉
I did a 15 min warm up and then one minute sprinting one minute jogging for 20 mins, and then a 5 minute cool down. It was definitely hard for me cos I really tried to push it hard during the minutes on and afterwards I had that awesome post crazy sweat sesh high. It was also a fun workout as the track was actually above the ice rink which was a nice feeling for me as a kiwi in Canada! I love it here a lot, running in the cold like that was definitely different for me though- I am used to running around NZ and Australia in 30 ish degrees temperatures. Yay for getting tough!
