I am trying to look like a reindeer deep in thought here. I think I nail it. (The above photo is self-explanatory that I look like a beaver).
I love that Cabelo’s has a random fudge shop. Every store should have that.
Not to mention the lollies!! (What nzers call candy). My brain almost exploded trying to choose but I managed it, it was a big challenge but gummy bears are the shizzle.
I had to get this burger for dinner, my parents call me Jessie Bessie and Jess Bess and so the Bess burger was pretty much made for me. It was sooooo gooooood. I should have taken a photo but I was way too hungry and I’m sure you can visualise the epicness.
It made me think about what is it that we all say to ourselves to help push through when a workout is hard or not ideal. For me there are a few things that I always think about that help me finish when I’m not feeling like I can. If I’m really in pain/exhausted I will definitely stop though; I really feel like sometimes your body knows best and listening to it will help you come back next time and crush that workout.
The main thing that works for me is thinking about how great I am going to feel once I finally finish the workout. No matter what, I always feel super proud of myself after I finish and that feeling combined with the post workout high is the number one reason I power through.
I also like thinking about my goals and how that workout is going to help me get there. I know that every hard workout is gonna make my next run or race feel sooo much better and that’s a pretty great incentive to me.
I definitely also think that there is A LOT to be said for distractions. Often a new song will make a big difference and motivate me to just stay in the moment and work bitch as my girl Britney says 😉 Thinking about my entire life and my favourite stuff that is going on helps too, as does planning out my to do list and week. Multitasking is the way to go.
4.7 miles feeling like I was about to throw up, 3.3 miles with the hugest cramp in my side. Done.
