The one with some awesome stuff from my Sunday

Today was filled with awesomeness. Yes I spent most of the day on my essay, and yes I worked the other half of the day but there was still plenty of room for lots of exciting stuff, eg:

-I enjoyed an excellent conversation with my adorable parents followed by an email saying they read myΒ blog post where I said I had no idea what nomenclature means. They went and looked up the definition in the nursing dictionary they have at home, how sweet is that??

-Related to this, I am FINALLY making progress in my essay. It feels really good to see it coming together and I am beyond looking forward to getting it out of the way so I can start with some different essays. My life is exciting πŸ˜‰

One thing that I learnt in this essay was that the personality of a thirty year old is actually more similar to that of a seventy year old, than it is to that of a twenty year old. I thought that was super interesting. I don’t think I fit in to this statistic though, my personality is probably better defined asΒ similar to that of a three year old’s.

-My bestie dyed her hair purple. I think it looks AMAZING and she is my new hero (okay, she is always my hero).

I am super jealous about this but we decided that with my blonde-ish hair the result for me would look more like this:

(Yellow minion = before, purple minion = after).

-I did a whole lot better with my fallen angel pose today. This pose is a really good challenge for me and it pretty much rips my core apart (in an awesome way) every time. I’m finding it really hard not to collapse on to one of my shoulders, but don’t worry, I will get there πŸ™‚

-I have planned out my running route for tomorrow. No need to say any more on this topic, I know you all understand how fun it is planning every tiny detail about your run including what to wear and what to eat beforehand and what music to listen to.

-Which brings me me to this awesome song that Curtis introduced me to, apparently the guy is an Australian artist and I am already a big fan. He had me with the title Spirit Bird. I am excited for doing both yoga and some easy running to this song.

-I finished the day with some Friends after work, this will never stop being my favourite show ever and Phoebe and Rachel’s convo about running was the best.

Who watches Friends? Fave Friends character?– I have watched it a thousand times and Monica is my favourite, and Chandler my second favourite. Love them.

Have you ever dyed your hair an out there colour? – I have virgin hair so no, BUT I have some awesome hair chalk in pink and green that I am waiting for a day off to try πŸ™‚

How old are you? (If you don’t mind sharing πŸ˜‰ ). And how old do you think your personality is? -I am 24 years old. Personality = 3 years old.

That’s a beautiful song. I can totally see it with yoga. And nice job on Fallen Angel pose. That does look slightly painful.

    • Haha it is!!! It burns in so many ways! Wrists, abs (ha, that makes it sound like I have them πŸ˜‰ ), shoulders, everywhere! It is a lovely song right? I was reading an article about it and he was talking about the impact of colonisation in Australia, super interesting. Hope you’re having a great day tess!

  2. Awesome job on that fallen angel pose. You might be tempting me to try one soon!! I see a lot of hard work and muscles going on in yours! I always find it interesting what styles of music people listen to when they run. Mine has to be all very fast, lots of rhythm and a lot of them are not for kid’s ears! Top songs on my iTunes play list (by number of times listened to) are: Applause (Lady Gaga), Berzerk (Eminem), Best Day of my Life (American Authors), and Make some noise (Beastie Boys). Quite an odd mix of tunes!
Hair – always with blond highlights. Age – rapidly approaching 47! But in the best shape of my life πŸ™‚ Maybe personality of a 30 year old?

    • It is really hard for me! It is definitely a work in progress haha. I love your mix of tunes! Maybe you should put a playlist on your blog, I would defintiely be into that πŸ™‚ I am the hugest Eminem fan so you totally won me over with that! The above song would definitely be a slow running day song for me, I am all about cranking the fast angry music otherwise! πŸ™‚ yay for being in the best shape of your life, you are such an inspiration! Interesting how both our personalities are younger than we are in years haha πŸ™‚

Woo way to go on your essay.!! Just thinking about writing an essay makes me want to die. lol
Go girl.!! that pose looks so hard. I would have fallen on my face.
and I have virgin hair too.!! I’ve never dyed it, nothing against dying your hair, my hair is just too dark to be able to do that. Black hair problems.
and I’m 21.! but feel more like a 35 year old. Always working, have a family.. :p it’s weird.

  4. I actually have friends on at the moment. I am obsessed with it and it is on in the background every day whilst I work. I think Chandler is my favourite character. He has been consistently the best, although Ross got really funny towards the end.

    • I amobsessed with it too! Like I have actually watched it a thousand times and still I continue to laugh at it! Chandler is so sweet πŸ™‚ and yeah Ross and his divorces and dinosaurs definitely are pretty hilarious!
