The one with some study stuff

This was the study position I assumed for most of the morning. I promise I am not that addicted to yoga, it’s just that sometimes my back gets really sore from studying and this is the best way to stretch it out while I work. The tissue in this photo really adds to the artistry of the picture I know. According to my facial expression in this picture I finding writing essays on ethics very exciting…?! Either I was having an epiphany or I that is a forced smile hiding a lot of rage at trying to get my word count to be 500 words less than it currently is. You decide.

TheΒ best study tool ever has enteredΒ my life: the most beautiful minion bookmarks I could ever have imagined from my bestie. She drew these herself, how amazing is that? After I stopped crying tears of joy when she gave them to me I said that the middle one looks like her (cos she’s a pastry chef) and then she said “yeah and the one on it’s right is you”. LOL. Pretty accurate πŸ™‚

My current favourite study fuel: oats and yoghurt and whatever fruit I can rustle up. It’s so easy to bring to uni and I have finally learnt to always keep a spoon in my bag as my uni doesn’t have any spoons anywhere and last time I had to eat my rice with a ripped up paper cup. My classmates thought I was inventive and just a little feral.

I am still really enjoying reading The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama and I need to remind myself of this quote when I study:Β

And an excellent prelude to studying all day: the below quick ashtanga video. I really enjoyed it because a) I am obsessed with ashtanga, b) I liked the teacher’s style, and c) It is pretty much the shortest version of ashtanga I have ever seen, which is great when you have a boatload of study (or other things) to do.

If you are a student right now (or have been in the past), what are some of your study tips/traditions?Β

What was your workout today? – I am excited to run tomorrow after two days off! πŸ™‚

I was the worst studier ever! I think procrastinating was definitely my specialty. Even if I had some advice, which I don’t, you wouldn’t want to follow it!

No workout today 😦 I’ve got a little leg issue and I’m giving it a few days. Fingers crossed!

  2. No study tips from me – I used to fall asleep when I was reading my text books! Books still make me quite sleepy. I have a hard time reading and staying awake!
Those are awesome bookmarks your bestie made for you. Super thoughtful, and very artistic!!
Woohoo on your run – none for me today. Maybe some PT exercises and a quick ab video if I have time.

    • I do feel sleepy when I’m reading boring articles in particular! Books are a little easier for me, but psychology research papers just put me straight to sleep haha. They are so beautiful I know, I am full on in love with them πŸ™‚
Yay for abs! I need to do more of that :s

    • I know right? I am definitely winning in this friendship! It’s awesome that you want to learn more! Sometimes I feel like there is so much to learn about so many things I will never get there haha
I always feel sluggish after time off too! But when I run every day I am full of energy!

Ooh I also strike that pose when I’m studying- total back saviour! Mind maps and flashcards work for me- and they’re a great excuse to buy pretty pens this time of year.

Love your blog! Good luck with exams and assignments πŸ™‚
