Current favourite yoga pose: King pigeon. No matter how bad my form is, it is the most amazing quad stretch after running. Seriously, runner friends: you should give it a go. This is an awesome article on how to do it and it’s benefits. I also love me just some general pigeon with my forehead on the mat for a bit of meditation.
Favourite brekkie at the moment- I have gone back to oats. Cereal is usually eaten later for lunch or a snack but oats just taste so good after a morning yoga practice. Yoga always makes me want to give my body lots of fruit and veggies.
There is a lady who feeds a whole flock of parrots every day in Sydney. A whole bunch of them just fly down to her house and perch all over her while she feeds them. It makes me think of Mary Poppins ‘Feed the Birds’ but like the crazy coloured version. It is awesome.
There are an abundance of sausage dogs in Sydney! It makes me SO HAPPY and I really really want one. Right after I creepily took this photo, the people put that sausage dog along with another one in like a little doggy pram (stroller) and started pushing them along. I died of the cuteness overload. I wish I got a picture but it happened too fast and I was probably a bit too excited.
Our new pet. First we had three tiny (as in, microscopic) fish named A, B, and C. Then A ate B and C and so we just had cannibal A left. Then A died and it was quite traumatic so now we have been given a tiny toy chicken by our flatmate’s son as a replacement. We have named it D. Hopefully we will have better luck with this one.
My FAVOURITE FAVOURITE thing this week: having my bestie back in Sydney with me. There have been long talks about deep stuff (eg the death of A B and C) and a lot of giggling and lots of yoga. This is a joint Namaste with one hand each from us.
What are some of your Friday favourites?
Do you have pets? What are their names? – My previous goldfish was called Smoochie and lived for TEN years. I took him when I moved out to university with me and everything.
