What to do when you reach grumpiness capacity because it is the end of semester and you have ten thousand (okay, four) essays still due?
Take a day off.
Spend the morning in bed in pyjamas while it pours with rain outside
Do this relaxing yoga session
Have a movie date with yourself:
Eat some delicious popcorn with tomato sauce (I am weird I know)
Do girly stuff like an at home mani/pedi (feet are convalescing in a thick layer of moisturizer here)
Listen to Chris Isaak because he reminds you of your childhood summers
Text your bestie all day while she is at uni because heaven forbid you go more than two hours without talking to her
Do a treadmill run and bike workout because if everyone else in the blog world can do it, so can I (I need to stop being so spoilt from running outside in the balmy Australian air). Yay for cheek sweat:
Do King Arthur pose to stretch out my quads because it is a million years since I have been on a spin bike and that shizzle is gonna burn tomorrow. Check out this amazing article on King Arthur pose written by my incredible yogi friend Kris who I met during my yoga course on Salt Spring Island and who became my running buddy soulmate. Girl, why do you live in Canada, I miss our running dates every morning at 6am!
Eat some of my favourite lollies because I have been way too healthy in my eating today (popcorn is a vegetable people, don’t argue with me on this)
And finally, read this article because it is so sweet in so many ways and the oldest man in Australia knitting tiny penguins woolly sweaters melted my heart.
What do you do when you feel grumpy?
What did you do today to relax?
What is the most recent movie you saw? Was it good? Should I watch it?
I loved that movie – I thought it was super cute 🙂 Hmm… most recently – I think it was called Song One – I do recommend it, it was also super cute!

Oh my goodness, the penguin sweater story put the biggest smile on my face! Your Skype movie date is too cute, but I don’t know if I can wrap my head around popcorn and tomato sauce 😉 Trying to imagine it….can’t do it!

It’s good I swear! Honestly the popcorn is just the vessel for the tomato sauce though, if it was socially acceptable to eat it by itself I would… Totally socially acceptable to eat it on popcorn right 😉 penguins in tiny sweaters, genius!!! Soo adorable and practical!

another chick flick that I forgot to mention.!! Something Borrowed.! it’s actually one of my favorites 🙂
You can’t be grumpy after all that.!! sounds like a great day.
I usually go on a run, take a bath and drink coffee when I’m feeling grumpy, or I just tickle Malia till she laughs, and there’s no way I can be grumpy after seeing that cute smile.

Ooh I love that movie! I love how it shows a different side to a typical story that would be easy to judge If you didn’t know all the details. Haha yeah I felt soo much better after such a relaxing day off! Grumpiness= vanquished! 🙂 coffee is weirdly helpful to me when I feel grumpy too, I almost get a little caffeine high off it?! That’s normal right? 🙂

Taking a day off to do nothing by sit in your PJs and watch your favourite film/TV show is so important once in a while.
