Get prepared for awesome news: My super beyond adorable Mum and Dad are coming to Sydney in one week!! The parental unit in ma hood???!? I am soooo excited. Get ready to meet the parents guys.
Parentals: I hope you are going to be prepared for your photo op times a million as I plaster you all over the blog 😉 This is no time to be shy.
This photo always makes me laugh- I was super shy and so for some reason my solution was to make the above attractive face (I am the youngest one, in the middle). My sis was also crazy mad cos I got to wear her headband. Mum and Dad were a teensy bit stressed by the time they took this photo 😉
I am really excited for my life to get a wee bit more exciting again rather than the current study/work/study/sleep/repeat. I haven’t explored Sydney as much as I would like to because I really feel obligated to put as much as I possibly can into my MA course, it is pretty much a huge deal to me and also just a teeensy bit expensive 😉 Now that it is almost holiday time though, get ready for the party to start!
A few things that I would like to do when the parentals are here:
Walk the Sydney Harbour Bridge (photo from when I ran it with bestie last year):
Go to Pancakes on the Rocks for awesome Sydney pancakes:
And maybe visit the Blue Mountains:

I also really want to do more running in the holidays, build my running base a little more, get back to yoga every morning and evening, and spend time doing relaxing stuff like binge watching Friends and taking baths and hanging out with bestie every second I possibly can and skype dating my man 🙂 It is gonna be magical.
So, this is what laundry day looks like folks.
I had planned to run on the treadmill so wasn’t too worried about wearing every item of my brightest coloured running gear at the same time, but someone was already on the treadmill in the apartment gym so I took it outside. Under the grey jacket the top is full on fluro/pink/apricot. I am pretty sure that in combination with the sunset I blinded some drivers.
My phone/music also ran out of battery about five minutes into my run, #major running fail today.
I still had an awesome time and it gave me time to think of my two fave running mantras (not exactly running mantras but more like running thoughts) lately:
The desire for running is really the desire for more and more life.
Drink the wild air. This isn’t techniqually related to running but I always enjoy thinking about it while I run.
And one I made up myself (although my brain probably just absorbed it from somewhere, who knows)
I leave my troubles behind me on the pavement and run towards my dreams.
Let’s be honest though, that is pretty easy to do when my biggest troubles involving counting down the days until I am on a three week holiday from uni 🙂 And how I am possibly going to get through all the delicious treats bestie is making every day at culinary school.
Don’t worry, I am rising to the challenge.
What is a running mantra you use/something you like to think about while running?
Do you live close to your parentals?
Anyone know any awesome stuff to do in Sydney? – I am still pretty new here so need to pick everyone’s brains about this.
