The one with Friday Favourites

#1 Fave quote I read this week:

image

How adorable is that?? I highly recommend you send that to someone you love.

#2 French inspired brekkie with bestie. French baguette, cream cheese, and jam. Adding French baguette to anything makes one feel chic and French and fancy FYI.

#3 And now on to a completely non-chic, non-French and non-fancy fave, my new reflexology sandals (thank you parentals!!!). Despite bestie laughing every time I put them on and telling me I look like a grandma, these bad boys are my fave thing EVER. Its like a little massage with every step. They are AMAZING. In retrospect I wish I had taken this photo as less of a close up, but it is too late now so please just scroll through quickly and don’t spend too much time lingering on the chipped polish/veininess etc.

image#4 MINION cookies. Enough said right? They are banana flavoured obviously.

imageAnd the free magnets that came with them. You know I was disturbingly excited about this, no judgement please 🙂image

Also, I just found out that the French word for cute is mignon (feminine, mignonne). Which sounds like MINION.

So if I were to say, Je suis mignonne (I am cute 😉 ) it sounds like I am saying I am a minion. This just makes me happy on many levels.

Moving on from the most random thought process ever,

#5 This peanut butter with apples. This is awesome because (don’t hate me okay?) I am usually not the biggest peanut butter fan, but lately I have been seeing what everyone goes on about when I combine it with crunchy juicy apples. Thank you to pretty much everyone in the blog world for persevering and being obsessed with it and enabling me to become obsessed with it.

#6 Womankind magazine. My mum bought this for me in Australia because she recently discovered it and loved it. It is an amazing magazine, it has no ads in it (check out the inside cover), and it is full of beautiful art and amazing articles. This issue is about revolutionaries and women revolutionaries. Awesome stuff.

This quote by Frida Kahlo totally made me think of blogging. Bringing weirdly like-minded people together, through the magic of the internet.

(I really need to repaint my nails).

#7 Finally, doing yoga again every morning and night. I missed this during the end of the semester but it is BACK ON BABY. I woke up about three minutes before bestie took this photo, you are welcome.

What are some of your Friday Favourites?

Do you read magazines?

Peanut butter, crunchy or smooth? -CRUNCHY

What was your brekkie today?

Anyone else take Art History in school? – (thinking of Frida Kahlo made me think of this question). I loved that shizzle, an epic combo of two of my fave subjects! (I have given up trying to tone down my inner nerd and I think we are at the point in the relationship where I can just be honest about nerdy stuff that excites me a little too much).

  1. I am so all about these things! Those sandals look so comfortable — I’ve accepted that I need at least one pair of not-so-cute but oh-so-functional sandals for summer. Those banana minion cookies look awesome — I love banana-flavored snacks! And you’re right about baguettes…add those to the party and you are automatically 10x fancier 🙂

    • Ooooh yes embracing it is definitely for the best! The sandals are incredible! I am so glad you agree with my fanciness principles 🙂 And yeah the minion cookies were amazing, honestly even if they tasted yucky I probably would have still been into them cos they are so cute 🙂 Have an awesome day Lauren! 🙂
