The one with running for joy

In honour of National Running day, this morning was a joy run.

A feel the cold air rushing against my face run.


A beating heart and feeling alive run.

A taste the fresh air in my lungs run.

A forget about form and run as fast as I can just like when I was little run.

A sweat running down my face in the best way run.

A listen to each glorious breath meditation run.

A pump my arms and feel the burn in my legs run.

A sun shining clouds floating run.


A perfect run for National Running day.

  2. A nice ode to running! On the plan for tonight is a local 5K with the running group downtown. I’ve never run downtown before, so it should be interesting! Enjoy your day.

    I didn’t get to run on National Running Day 😦 I did run yesterday and it was perfect outside – I felt like I could go forever!
