The one with yoga for defeating the blah

Today I woke up and was like I NEED some yoga in my life (like, more than usual).

You know how it goes, feeling a bit blah, read five million academic articles, raining outside….

So I decided to old-school it and go back to the first EVER yoga I did. Ahh nostalgia.

Thank you Kristin McGee for being a sweetheart and providing me with what I still consider a lovely lil’ yoga practice even though I’ve done it a bajillion times already. She BRINGS IT every time and I love the burn I get from this sesh. The fact that this exact video was the only way I did yoga for about two years speaks volumes about how good it is.


Other remedies that took my day from blah to blinkin’ awesome after my sweatlicious yoga sesh:

Pizza and pancakes with bestie (what a combo right?!)


Twinning with purple shoes


Putting my feet up with a good book (please note the most adorable salt and pepper shakers EVER in the background)

What do you do when you feel blah? 

What was your workout today? Power yoga always makes me sore the day after, especially when I haven’t done it in a while! Tomorrow should be fun 😉

  1. Well that is encouraging to hear that yoga makes you sore sometimes too! I did some “yoga for post race” and dang, it made me more sore in other places!!
    I totally love that salt & pepper shaker set! My Mom used to collect shaker sets when I was a kid and I was always obsessed with them. Those things are so cool.


    • Omg absolutely!! Sooo sore from yoga is pretty common for me! When I did about three weeks of constant yoga in Malaysia I was BRUTALLY sore every day! I remember not being able to lift my arms for the whole first week haha. That is so cute, what a great idea! I could totally see myself doing that 🙂


  2. When I feel blah, I also turn to yoga. I need it in my life right now. I have not been good about my practice!!!
