The one with a post-uni update and GOALS

Guys, I miss you!!!! How long has it been?? Too long!!!!!!! The last few weeks have been a major time warp for me. Like I don’t know the specifics of where the time went but basically it got sucked into a study-work- study vortex. It was pretty scary.

Now that I have finished my final uni term of the year (YAY) I am back in business. So excited to do a bunch of very important things I have been neglecting like painting my nails, going to the beach, hanging out with Bestie, binge watching tv, etc etc.

But first lets talk about what I have been doing this term, I feel it is vitally important to update you guys on every tiny detail. Also I like to look back on what I’ve achieved before I set new goals cos it helps me focus on what I want to work on next just makes me feel good.

-I completed one month of F45! That bad boy almost destroyed me but I weirdly loved it and I definitely feel like it improved my strength and my running.

-I started doing Kayla Itsines BBG workouts. I am only on week three but I am LOVING these workouts!! They don’t destroy me in the way F45 did so I can still function after doing them, plus the LISS component is perfect cos I can still fit my running in! Lots and lots of outdoor running is going to be happening.


-I made big improvements in terms of eating more fruit and veggies. The biggest part of this was buying a blender- perfect for the side of me that hates spinach- I just blend that shizzle up and eat it for brekkie before I even have time to realise what has happened.


-I have been oil pulling. I have been wanting to get into this after pretty much everyone in the blog world was like its amazing do it now. And seriously, it is amazing, please do it now. My teeth feel soo nice and clean and smooth and look whiter too. I followed these instructions and I especially like to do it while I am doing housework/getting ready for the day because the time goes much quicker.

-Academically speaking I have finished about 3/4 of my masters in psychotherapy! Beyond excited about this. I am obsessed with my internship, working with clients is just so rewarding and I love that I am this excited to go to work when I am not even getting paid for it 😉 that is when you know you love it for realsies right?


-My yoga practice has been taking an eensy bit of a back seat lately which I definitely want to work on. When I was doing F45 I actually felt pretty exhausted to do yoga most of the time and recently with the end of the term I have been running around like a headless chicken and haven’t put the energy into it that I would like to.



Current goals:

-Make time for yoga. Every morning as per back in the day.
-Work on my French. I work at a French restaurant and my level of French remains embarrassingly basic. My excuse until now has been I have too much uni psychotherapy info stuffed into my brain but that is just not going to cut it anymore.
-Go to the beach regularly!! Shooting high with this one guys.
-Continue with BBG. Way too excited about these workouts.

  1. I like spinach! …but only when it’s fried up and with sausages. Perhaps that defeats the purpose!
    Current goal? Learn more kanji D:
    Go-to-smoothie? On my train line transfer there is a juice bar and I always drink the mixed juice which is always a smoothie of whatever random fruit they decided to put in that day xD a surprise every time!
    Hehe ooh these question things are fun!


    • Fried up with sausage definitely sounds like it would make it more palatable haha! I love that in smoothies you cant even taste it though. Curtis makes a really good peanut butter tofu spinach recipe too! Peanut butter with anything = it’s gonna be good 🙂 That is awesome, a smoothie a day keeps the doctor away right? How is the kanji going??? Why do they make it soooo hard right?? Darn tiny squiggly little lines everywhere 😮

  2. Hey you! Wondered where you have been. Then realized it’s summer, so you probably enjoying all of that awesome stuff down there! Nice beach!! I do like spinach, but not love it. I have made some good spinach smoothies, but it doesn’t keep me full enough for breakfast.
    It will be interesting to hear about the BBG workouts. I was interested in that recently (and then forgot about it, because I have a short attention span!!).


    • Haha exactly! I was also burning the candle at both ends trying frantically to finish all my uni work- thank goodness its over now! That’s Bondi beach, it’s pretty spectacular!! I usually add oats or tofu (I used to add a raw egg for years and years before I knew about salmonella, I never got sick though!) and that keeps me full after. Plus LOTS of ice! 🙂 Eee I would DEFINITELY recommend the BBG workouts!! Such great strength training and you can do them from home! I will probably rant about them a whole lot more on here haha
