As you guys know I am a big fan of taking myself on a date when I get the chance.
This date was pretty special though guys. Like I wined and dined myself. And by wined I mean drank a delicious smoothie and dined I mean I two timed myself with bestie for Japanese food and froyo.
Where she just casually gave me a giant fondant covered cake, you know, cos that’s just how she rolls (HA get it?) 😍
I also did a BBG workout
Had a delicious yoga practice
Bought myself some MINION tic tacs (!!!)
And hung out at the harbour just chilling and listening to music.
I also (no big deal) hung out with Kayla Itsines. Ya, we’re besties now. She told me I smelt nice. That’s the dream right?!
(Which somehow made up for taking a super awkward photo with her… You don’t want to see the unfiltered version, my excited pinkness is out of control).
She was doing a public talk at the Apple Store in Sydney and because I am her biggest stalker right now I was awkwardly got there half an hour early for one of the best seats in the house.
She talked about her new app, the BBG workouts, what she eats to treat herself (food her family has cooked for her, girlfriend is such a sweetheart), and her fitness lifestyle. She said a few times she was nervous and she just came across as super humble and sweet and passionate about what she does.
I cannot say enough how much I am LOVING the Kayla Itsines BBG workouts guys. They are 28 minutes, three times a week, and then low intensity cardio on the other three days with a rest day on Sunday. This is so perfect for me because I am spending a decent amount of time doing strength training and still can fit in my running and yoga 😍 And while the 28 minutes is easy to fit into my schedule, it is HARD. Like dripping in sweat major scary DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) hard.
And now having ranted about BBG I am off to have a non-Sunday rest day due to working an 8 hr day at my internship plus a 4ish hour waitressing shift which I have no doubt will be hectic enough to make up for the missed cardio workout. I am thinking yoga will be necessary later to wind down.

Fave type of cake? The cake bestie gave me is Christmas cake and I LOVE the fondant icing!
