People! Blog people! I miss you!!!! What is the haps?
This post is gonna be a bit all over the place because I have many things I need to tell all of you right this second so please ignore the lack of flow/point of the post (this applies to almost all my other posts too FYI 😉 ).
So I took some time out in New Zealand and in that time I forgot how to use WordPress. Best blogger ever right? Somehow I needed to go back in through admin otherwise I couldn’t write my posts the usual way and I almost had an aneurysm figuring that out. I did figure out Instagram however (which was a big win for me, follow me so we can be besties there too! Username = kiwiyogirunner) and that’s probably why I forgot how to blog, I can only fit so much technological related stuff in my brain at any one time.
Three weeks in NZ was the best energy recharger ever. Can I just say how darn nice my country is? Is that immodest? Do I care? HA, no, coz seriously New Zealand is the shizzle.
The little sheep everywhere make me too happy.
Showing Curtis my country and introducing him to my family was so special (and Hobbiton was pretty much the COOLEST PLACE EVER, you all have to go there right now (or in 12 hours or however long your flight will take cos NZ is kinda in the back of beyond)).
(Shelling corn for my mum = heart MELTED)
I am pretty sure I spent 90% of my time at the beach and the other 10% was running and yoga. How awesome does that sound?!
I also discovered kitty yoga which is pretty much a new thing and benefits felines and humans alike. Just make sure your cat doesn’t think you actually want her to participate, because then of course she won’t. It’s better if she is in your way and smells kinda funky.
Most importantly though, I spent almost every waking second with my wonderful mum dad and sis. BEST time ever. It is for shizzle not easy living away from people I love so much but the feeling of going home and knowing they are there for me is amazing.
How adorable is my sis?
She is capable of hairstyle artistry I could only dream of.
And to sum up the complete randomness of this post, I unwillingly continued my tradition of being chased and cornered by the roadside goat when it was untethered and terrorized me on my morning run. Talk about that “let’s untether the goats!” petition coming back to literally bite me in the butt. I had to climb two different neighbors’ fences to escape, awkward.
Trying to make up on my next run when the goat was safely retethered. Post-traumatic goat related stress is a real thing (potential thesis topic I’m thinking? really need to start figuring scary stuff like that out). Check out the gnarly death glare it is giving me.
And that pretty much sums up my NZ holiday! In all seriousness I really encourage you all to go there ASAP because every time I return I am re-blown away at New Zealand’s natural beauty and I can’t capture it with my questionable photography skills and honestly the goat chasing situation would probably only be something that would happen to me.
Ps. more coherent post coming up next on home practice vs studio practice for something actually yoga related (branching out, I know).
How was your New Year’s? What did you do?
Ever been chased by a goat/other animal? Trust me when I say that when a goat head butts you, it hurts.
Fave holiday exercise? Obviously I LOVE running and yoga but also hiking! So relaxing and a great workout too, my sis and I are hiking queens 🙂
