The one with a weekend in Waihi

Even though living in a backpacker hostel for 5 weeks is so much fun because we get to be sociable at all hours of the day and night and I have my work clothes hung really nicely off the towel rails all over the room 😉 this weekend we decided to have a little change.

Aka Waihi time.

Bach time (a Bach is the New Zealand word for a beach house and they are typically tiny and adorable and 100% kitsch)

(The above photo really depicts the scale these baches are on ha)

And beach time.

We spent the whole weekend at my family’s bach and I went for the best run on the beach both days (and on one of the days there was a flock of doves just randomly hanging out?!?)

We had a few really good hikes around the headlands

and watched an obscene amount of 24.

It was the best.

Have you ever watched 24? If not please go do so now.

Holiday by the a) ocean b) lake c) mountain?
